Always make sure that the senior can take part in any type of exercise regimen, even if it’s a brisk walk, before making them do anything.

The other aspect is diet. Cutting out sugar in the diet is the most important first step in treating diabetes. There are many different types of sugars, so just because you stop adding sugar to their food, they could consumer harmful glucose and other carbohydrates that convert to glucose in the body.

Learn everything that you can about diet for a person with diabetes and then help the patient find the best menu for their preferences. It may take some getting used to, but you can effectively trim almost all harmful sugars from the diet.
